Koronis Purple Bush Bean Seeds

An American heirloom bush bean. Seeds are a gorgeous, intense Byzantium amethyst colour, a much lighter shade than Kabarika, with tiny amounts of cream flecking. A truly stunning colour. Large bushy plants. For dry use. Bred by the late Robert Lobitz of Paynesville, Minnesota. Rare. A collector’s item for those who love the colour purple. Robert named this bean after Koronis Lake, which was located just south of the town where he lived. I can only imagine Mr. Lobitz was a great patriot who loved his state, and named a great many of his beans after locations within his town and surrounding areas.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Mandy Boticna, Tyndall, Manitoba.
