Kartoffel Bohne Pole Bean Seeds

A rare European heirloom dry bean. Another super fantastic bean for 2022, the name means ‘Potato Bean’. The seeds are egg shaped with a light bluish grey, speckled stone colour overlaid with navy swirls and streaks. Productive doesn’t begin to describe it! Vines are loaded with pods that bulge with the shape of the beans inside. I imagine this bean is mostly for dry use given the name. A European heirloom that I believe originates in Austria, or possibly Germany.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Artur Kobylecki, Kielce, Poland.
