Heilenburger Russe Pole Bean Seeds

A German heirloom that dates at least as far back as 1945. This bean was brought back to Germany by a POW after WW2. It is said that thereafter this bean was cultivated in Heiligenberg for many decades. The bean is crescent shaped, purple speckled and very productive. Can be eaten both as a green bean as well as used as a dry bean. Very rare. 2023 seed.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Artur Kobylecki, Kielce, Poland.
