A sweet heirloom pepper that originates in the county of Heves in Northern Hungary. Pods are somewhat pendant shaped, red, and with a slight curvature in the fruits. Some pods are a bit wrinkled. Excellent flavour, and even though this has traditionally been a paprika pepper for toasting and then drying I found it just as good for cooking with and eating raw. Very nice aroma to the fruits. The peppers are said to have a tiny bit of heat in the pods, but I detected nothing so I’m putting these in the sweet category. Rare. 2024 seed. 25/packet.
