The name ‘Graziskiai’ refers to the town of Gražiškiai in southwestern Lithuania. This is an heirloom bean variety that’s not widely documented in formal seed catalogs, or having much available history. This tends to be typical of regional heirloom beans that have been preserved by gardeners rather than plant breeders or companies. Very early to form pods, I believe this is both a fresh snap bean as well as a dry bean. Extremely rare. Many thanks to my seed saving friend Artur Kobylecki of Kielce, Poland for this special bean!
