Fagiola Barba Di Frate Pole Bean Seeds

$5.00

The name of this rare Italian variety translates to mean ‘friar’s beard’ or ‘friar’s robe’.  These are traditional beans from Cuneo in Piedmont and carried by producers supporting rare heritage types.  The beans are described as “tipici del Cuneese”, typical of the Cuneo area in Piedmont, northwest Italy, and are grown mostly by people of that area.  The plants are very distinct, look a little like houseplant leaves – more long and pointed than is typical.  For dry use.  Excellent choice for the North, and they dry down very easily.
