Dlouha Pulena Ze Smolijanu Pole Bean Seeds

A European heirloom bean, I suspect a Czech Republic origin though I’m not certain. I haven’t quite figured out the meaning of the name, thus far I’ve found that it refers to ‘a long pullen from a Smolijan’. But it is a real beauty of a dry bean whatever the case – could possibly be a green snap bean too. Early maturing, a tri coloured bean seed in white, oatmeal and chocolate. Rare. 2023 seed. If there is such a thing as an elegant, dignified bean this is it.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
