Crochu de Savoie Pole Bean Seeds

A rare heirloom bean from the Savoie region of France. The name translates roughly to ‘Hooked on Savoie’, which may be an allusion to the slightly curved shape of the green pods, or an expression of sentimentality for the Savoie region itself. A bean for fresh use as well as dry. Seeds are oval shaped, and a purple burgundy with cream flecks. Production was very, very good. A rather rare European heirloom, though not as rare as some. Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
