Coeur d’Albenga Tomato Seeds

What a gorgeous big mama of a tomato!  Pear shaped, voluptuous brick red fruits hang in abundance on the vines.  Fabulous yield of dense, meaty fruit.  Superb variety for tomato sauce.  Fruits can last off the vine for some time.  Delicious tomato from the Ligurian coast of northwestern Italy, specifically associated with the town of Albenga.  It’s been cultivated by families in the region for generations, suggesting a long  history as a staple in local cuisine.  Introduced to Seed Savers Exchange in 1993 by Bill Minkey.
