Cookstown Orange Eggplant Seeds

It amazes me when I read through the various descriptions of this eggplant variety online, nobody seems to mention the ferocious THORNS this one has! Yup, it’s got some wildness in there for sure. I like the toughness of wild foods and have experimented a lot over the years with such species. This one is very productive, and can grow quite large in a hot summer. Are the fruits edible? Apparently, but I grew it as a pot specimen for its beauty – menacing beauty. Small, orange and somewhat ruffled fruits, similar to clementines. I think if eaten, it would be at the green stage, which would mean they are on the small side. An interesting and uncommon eggplant. 2022 seed.
