An old Dutch heirloom dating to the early 1800’s. In German the name translates to ‘Fruher Heinrich’ and some sites also translate the name as ‘Early Henry’. I ate these as shelling peas, though I’ve read that they are sugar snaps. Nice peas, a little taller than I was expecting, probably to 5 feet. Fairly early maturity. 2023 seed.
