Aloisia Marmoriert Pole Bean Seeds

The ‘Aloisia Marmoriert’ pole bean is a “kipfler” type, having notably curved pods that almost form a ring.   These ones are green with purple splashes.  It’s name is derived from an old German female name (Aloisia) and ‘marmoriert’ meaning marbled.   Perhaps this was a special bean of a Austrian lady some time ago.  These ‘horn’ beans tend to be uniquely associated with Styria/Austria.  This bean is not sold in seed catalogues or by large seed vendors, but instead is circulated almost exclusively among bean enthusiasts and collectors.  This bean is typically eaten as a snap bean.  20 Seeds/packet
