Fasold Pole Bean Seeds

This was one of my favourite green beans during the summer of 2023. This is a rare variety which produces long, pure green pencil type pods of outstanding texture and quality. Very tender, very delicious. My seed donor does not know the origin of this bean, but I’ve done some research and ‘Fasold’ is a giant found in classical German Heroic literature, and also the opera of Wagner. My thinking is some clever person named this bean after Fasold the Giant. A superlative fresh pole bean. Pretty hard to beat a bean this good, and I’m usually more partial to Romano’s!  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
