Donald Todd’s Half Runner Pole Bean Seeds

$4.00

This bean is called a half-runner, though it grew vigorously enough for me to classify it more like a pole, but one that does not grow quite as tall as most other pole beans. Grown and saved by Donald Todd for many years in Tennessee, and an heirloom bean which was once carried by Remy Orlowski’s (now deceased) Sample Seed Shop, once a treasure trove of Appalachian heirloom beans. For fresh eating as a snap bean. Wonderful bean that Mr. Todd began selecting for when commercial half runner beans in the South began to go down hill in quality.  Lots of pods on the vines, which are surprisingly stubby.  Received from the collection of Russell Crow.  2024 seed.
