An heirloom from Cluj, a town in Transylvania, Romania. Puszta means ‘prairie’ and ‘kolosz’ is the Hungarian translation of the city Cluj. Good sized red beefsteaks 16-24 oz, still grown by Transylvanian farmers because vegetable markets have taken to growing hybrid tomatoes and the farmers don’t feel the hybrids taste as good as tomatoes like these. A very tasty tomato.
