Quaking Grass Seeds

An ornamental grass, which grows to 1 or 2 feet. It’s distinctive feature is the eccentric fossil-like seedheads that dangle from very tiny, almost threadlike stems. These heads literally tremble and quake in the wind, hence the name. I grew these because I find the seedheads look exactly like trilobites. The grass goes to seed shockingly early, as early as July. And even in a container will produce massive amounts of these little arthropod shaped seed clusters. This is a great one for kids. It goes by several other cute names – Totter, Didder, Cow Quakes. 2022 seed.
