Pineapple Flower Seeds

This is a sublime, fragrant flower – it truly does smell like a mix of pineapple, mangoes, apples and strawberry. It literally smells like sweetness, which is an odd experience though lovely. The flowers themselves have little to no ornamental value, they’re small bright yellow pom poms on top of tall thin stems that sway in wind. The leaves are insignificant, and fern like. This is a native plant from Chile and also goes by the name ‘Manzanilla de Campo’. The flowers are medicinal and can be used in tea; I think these flowers are increasingly being used in the scented product industry. The dried heads crumble just like chamomile flower heads.
