A very old Italian cherry tomato that is sometimes hung in clusters over winter due to its ability to last off the vine. The name is derived from its origin, growing on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius while the hanging bunches are called ‘piennoli’ in Italy. Very productive cherry tomato, with a slightly lower water content than other cherry tomatoes. Considered a longkeeper. It does keep better if picked slightly immature.
