What a fun time it was with this cherry tomato! The genetics are quite unusual – this variety cannot be started the typical 8 weeks before planting out due to its love for high temperatures. It will languish, or even perish at room temperature indoors in April. 2 or 3 weeks before planting out is a better start time for these. It won’t begin to grow or even be happy until the real heat of summer comes on, so I can only guess it has a lot of ‘wildness’ left in its genetics. It was one of the later maturing tomatoes, but is absolutely delicious. Not all cherry tomatoes are delicious in September, and these were really impressive in being just as great tasting into September. Well worth the wait! I grew it in a pot, but it would probably do just as well in the ground. Thanks to Common Sense seeds for sharing this variety!
