Jerusalem Cross Flower Seeds

$4.00

A historic perennial, planted by Thomas Jefferson in his Monticello gardens in 1807 though it’s native to Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and northern China. Herbaceous perennial that blooms with bright red clusters of flowers, which are very attractive to hummingbirds. Relatively unbranched plants grow to about 3 feet. Full sun exposure helps the plant produce the greatest number of red blooms. Has been very hardy in my garden, withstanding both cold winters as well as hot, dry summers. 2023 seed crop.
