Golden Pearls Berry Seeds

This fruit has several alias’s – hexentomate, golden wonderberry, goldenberries. The growth habit and look of this plant is very much like that of the wonderberry, though if you haven’t grown wonderberry that won’t be much help. The height is about 3 feet, depending on it’s proximity to neighbours. The plant is quite high yielding, branching and the small, orange fruits ripen all summer long, right into October. The taste of this berry is not that sweet, it has a tart quality in there along with some sweetness. The flavor will be affected by when you pick the fruit, the longer they’re on the branch the sweeter they become. I’d give this fruit a 5/10 taste rating, according to my tastebuds anyway. If they were dehydrated they flavor might be sweeter. An interesting novelty plant.  2023 seed.
