Fingerprint Fava Bean Seeds

This fava bean is quite the sight! Originally from Bolivia, these large greyish green favas have dark swirling marks across their seed coats that look very much like human fingerprints. The plants grow to about 3 feet, and should be tied to a stake for support. I assumed these were more of a novelty when I purchased them, but I was surprised to see that they are actually a very hardy and productive variety. They’re the most heat tolerant fava I’ve grown yet; I totally forgot to pinch the tips and was shocked when I realized that no aphids appeared as a result. They can produce quite a lot for a fava bean. A rare variety that is more than just an unusual specimen. 2023 seed. 8 large seeds in a packet.
