Fresno Pepper Seeds

$4.00

I have seen these around for awhile, and finally decided to try them in 2023. I was surprised, they were earlier than I expected and higher yielding. After being picked once in July, they flushed with a whole new pepper crop. For a medium sized pepper, I was impressed. These are about twice the size of a jalapeno, and have a more pointed bottom and flat top. The fruits are quite firm, and thin walled. The taste is good, and while there is definitely heat in the pods it isn’t overwhelming. Fresno was developed in the 1950s by a California grower and seed merchant named Clarence “Brownie” Hamlin, who lived in the county of Fresno, in a town called Clovis, which is just outside the city of Fresno. 2023 seed. Was not grown in isolation.
