Not flecking as so many beans get, but a purple smoke effect. The seeds are black and very small, and do not possess the rounded, smooth qualities of more refined beans. But they are prolific. For use as a dry bean as the fresh pods are rather coarse. 2023 seed. Gratefully received from generous grower Jack Halloway, Salem, Oregon.
