A semi-runner dry bean, seeds are half burgundy and half white. Plants produce a lot of dry beans, and quite early in the season. I can’t help but wonder if the bean’s name is ‘Treviso Nun’ two words that combine to translate roughly to ‘an agricultural center’ (treviso) & ‘a woman from a religious order’ (nun). The seeds do have somewhat of the look of a nun’s habit. I received these seeds from Russ Crow in Woodstock Illinois who received them from a grower in Latvia. Likely an Italian bean.
