If you google the phrase \u2018sugar beans\u2019 or &#8216;boontjies&#8217;, you&#8217;ll see what I mean. There&#8217;s a lot out there. This is one variety of sugar bean, though I&#8217;ve grown another called &#8216;Gaborone Sugar&#8217;. This is a super productive sugar variety, selected very well for producing in great quantities. They are a tall semi-runner, close to 5 feet &#8211; I used tall sticks for support. Seeds are lovely, a white base with a fleshy overlay dappled with violet.
